Cask at double lock exeter. Mellow malt aromas slightly leathery and woody. Bitterness in taste tempered by a slight sweetness.

[cask at Princess of Shoreditch, London] Brown pour with a thin white head. Malty toffee aromas come from the glass; flavours are more malt with a touch of biscuit. Quite a dry finish with some bitterness. Decent stuff [10042011]

On tap somewhere - maybe Market Porter. Pretty standard bitter that is notable only for being not that bitter! Bland.

Cask conditioned handpump George Tiffield (The GBG Survey night). A dark copper coloured beer with a whitish head. A standars sessionable bittersweet beer with no massive character, but it’s easily quaffed. Just a touch more flavour to lift it from the proverbial 3.

(The Edgar Wallace, cask) Dark amber color, small off-white head, some lace. Caramelly, hard toffee aroma. Caramelly-nutty flavor. Very weak palate - otherwise quite ok. Short nutty hoppy and toffeish finish.
