Cask (Market Porter, London)
Deep orange, wispy head. Dusty hop aroma. Simple sweet fruity taste, some caramel, a little watery, but refreshing. Some husky grains also in the taste.

Cask at the Bricklayers Arms, Putney, 1st June 08. Pure amber with a sweet, very light malt taste. Seriously unbalanced, needs some hop bitterness.

Slightly foggy, amber body under a naked surface. Rather weak in both aroma and flavour. Some hoppy notes can be detected added by a touch of smooth bitterness on the swallow (half pint from cask at Market Porter after a shopping session at Utobeer, 01.05.2008).

A Mes rate: Cask at the Old Monk Exchange.
Mid golden brown with no head. Bland nutty malt aroma. reasonable balance in the mouth. Nice berry fruits, a little on the dusty side but over all just bland and uninspiring. Watery palate does it no favours.
