puggy211 (266), cordova, Tennessee, USA May 9, 2008 Black with browny white head. Aroma of hops, chocolate and especielly coffee. The texture is very soft, unfortunatly its very thin as well. Aftertaste is a bit bitter and very short! (Typical Brithish I feel like saying) Regular brew!good BrewDad (1421), Olympia, Washington, USA May 6, 2008 550ml Bottle - Gravity Bottle Market - Olympia, WA
Aroma – Nice dark malts with a slight coffee and chocolate aroma.
Appearance – Dark reddish brown in color, thin head and clear.
Flavor – An interesting stout flavor. Very fruity with a high alcohol flavor.
Palate – Good Mouthfeel, Nice texture with a dry finish.
Overall – A very good stout with a interesting port flavoring to it. Will have to try this again to see if I get the same flavors the next time.
drunkbeer (104), London, England May 4, 2008 Updated: May 10, 2008I like the concept .I allways did-though the previous tryings of this Stout I waz left feeling jaded .They go to great lenths blabing about awards and the complexity and what the port inculsion would do-and it never impressed me. But i’m a lot wiser now , modest too-and this is a well crafted ,if mild beer. The port flavours a subtle at best-not that I drink alotta port. Burnt tarry ash trays.burnt chocolate with a lovely sour cherry texture . mirjukka (130), LOHJA, Finland Apr 28, 2008 bottle 500ml at Gallows Bird

Light/medium body and smooth. Flavor is semi sweet cocoa with dark roasted malts. Has a light vinous sourness in the finish. Not too bad. 1.20.2007
