drinksalot (7), Georgia, USA does not count Jun 3, 2004 Medium bodied stout with fruit, a touch of coffee and a little bit sweet. I guess thats where the port comes in. A little bit $$ but worth it thedm (3833), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Jun 3, 2004 This bottled brew poured a large sized head of frothy foamy finely sized light brown colored beautiful bubbles that left behind a most pretty lacing. Been a long time since I saw a lacing that nice! The body was opaque black with no hope of visible carbonation! Excellent body! The aroma was a bit on the mild side, but very nice with strong malt coffee and mild chocolate scents mixed in with a few good roasted notes. The mouth feel was thick smooth and very heavy with malt and a lingering coffee malt finish. Scrumptious! The flavor contained notes of coffee malt hops chocolate and roasted nuts. Delicious. Dorwart (1807), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA May 28, 2004 Wow. Rarely do you ever see a stout with this much head. Great big light tan head with great lacing. Roasted aroma with grapes and other fruit. Color is a very dark red/brown. Medium bodied stout with fruit, a touch of coffee and a little sweet. Finish is dry and slightly bitter. A decent stout. veronika (410), Sweden May 21, 2004 Dark, with a thin head. Aroma from fruits, schampoo and lavendel. Flavor is flruity with a mild finish. rlgk (3377), Vårgårda, Sweden May 21, 2004 Dark amber, small brown head. Has a spicy and quite strong aroma, somewhat fruity. Flavor is spicy and fruity, and the finish is a little weak. jgb9348 (2492), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA May 14, 2004 Dark brown coloured body with a lighter brown coloured head. The head is frothy and lasts quite a while. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chooclate, sweet cherries and a slight amount of english hops. Medium-bodied; Full flavour of roasted malt and coffee with some subtle fruity flavours and an oak taste that shares some tannins and leaves your mouth dry. Aftertaste just a prolonged bitterness and a taste of cherries. Overall, a pretty good dry stout with good bittering flavours and some other interesting characteristics. I bought this 50 cL bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on my last day of classes at RIT, 14-May-2004. larsniclas (3383), Gothenburg, Sweden May 8, 2004 Bottled.
