Commercial Description:
In the winter of 1996 we were inspired by an Irish tradition for a morning after 'corpse-reviver' - a splash of Port in your stout! The inspired blending of Rich Ruby Port with O'Hanlon's award-winning stout has created a unique and original masterpiece of craft brewing.

Medium bodied stout with fruit, a touch of coffee and a little bit sweet. I guess thats where the port comes in. A little bit $$ but worth it

This bottled brew poured a large sized head of frothy foamy finely sized light brown colored beautiful bubbles that left behind a most pretty lacing. Been a long time since I saw a lacing that nice! The body was opaque black with no hope of visible carbonation! Excellent body! The aroma was a bit on the mild side, but very nice with strong malt coffee and mild chocolate scents mixed in with a few good roasted notes. The mouth feel was thick smooth and very heavy with malt and a lingering coffee malt finish. Scrumptious! The flavor contained notes of coffee malt hops chocolate and roasted nuts. Delicious.

Wow. Rarely do you ever see a stout with this much head. Great big light tan head with great lacing. Roasted aroma with grapes and other fruit. Color is a very dark red/brown. Medium bodied stout with fruit, a touch of coffee and a little sweet. Finish is dry and slightly bitter. A decent stout.

Dark amber, small brown head. Has a spicy and quite strong aroma, somewhat fruity. Flavor is spicy and fruity, and the finish is a little weak.

Dark brown coloured body with a lighter brown coloured head. The head is frothy and lasts quite a while. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chooclate, sweet cherries and a slight amount of english hops. Medium-bodied; Full flavour of roasted malt and coffee with some subtle fruity flavours and an oak taste that shares some tannins and leaves your mouth dry. Aftertaste just a prolonged bitterness and a taste of cherries. Overall, a pretty good dry stout with good bittering flavours and some other interesting characteristics. I bought this 50 cL bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on my last day of classes at RIT, 14-May-2004.

Dark brown, almost black w/ finger of dense brown foam. Roasty chocolate & port nose w/ hint of wood & cherry. Full bodied, almost juicy feel. Roasty, vinous flavour of dark chocolate, burnt coffee, & complex fruit (cherry, grape, apricot). Middle is mildly sour. Finish is long, dry & bitter.
