Aroma – Nice dark malts with a slight coffee and chocolate aroma.
Appearance – Dark reddish brown in color, thin head and clear.
Flavor – An interesting stout flavor. Very fruity with a high alcohol flavor.
Palate – Good Mouthfeel, Nice texture with a dry finish.
Overall – A very good stout with a interesting port flavoring to it. Will have to try this again to see if I get the same flavors the next time.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 4, 2008 Oily pitch pour collared with beige. Aroma sweetish and cola-like but burnt, with seductive toffeeish notes, chocolate, coffee and wood. That’s a 7 at least. Despite the splash of port, quite a dry roasty stout with a lingering smokiness Blackcurranty fruit in the background. Really nice stout, most definitely worthy of a resampling.
