AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Apr 22, 2008 Near black with a thin tan head. Nice blackened malt and sweet wine aroma. Light/medium body and smooth. Flavor is semi sweet cocoa with dark roasted malts. Has a light vinous sourness in the finish. Not too bad. 1.20.2007 LouieDog40oz (28), Germantown, Maryland, USA Apr 21, 2008 Basic stout nothing very special about it...nice dark brew with a coffee finish Tranquillity (1165), Espoo, Finland Apr 17, 2008 Bottled. Completely black, medium light-brown head. Taste alcoholic, with a big chocolatey note and long bitter finish. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. haddonsman (1234), Derby, Derbyshire, England Apr 8, 2008 Bottled. Black. Chocolate. Wet coffee. Dry palate. Random words. Only two needed. Joyful stout. DruncanVeasey (2690), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England Apr 4, 2008 Oily pitch pour collared with beige. Aroma sweetish and cola-like but burnt, with seductive toffeeish notes, chocolate, coffee and wood. That’s a 7 at least. Despite the splash of port, quite a dry roasty stout with a lingering smokiness Blackcurranty fruit in the background. Really nice stout, most definitely worthy of a resampling. weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England Apr 4, 2008 Bottle. Very dark with a pale brown head. Smells a slight bit smokey, slight liqourice, roastiness, coffee, can’t taste any port really. I quite like port too. Very dry, a little bitter. Feel a little let down, not that keen at all. Maybe just not my thing.
