Bottle from a new supplier. It poured with a huge head and had the right stout flovors. I found it average what ever that means. In other words nothing grat but not bad.

Dark ruby brown with rich vinous aroma and roast barley. Full bodied, dry but fruity. V enjoyable.

(Cask): Black with a small tan head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate. Flavour is roasted malt, milky coffee, chocolate. A bit watery and donít detect any port flavours which is unfortunate as itíd have fitted well.

A sweet stout, with more the former rather than the latter, but it is very black as you would expect. No head with a sweet aroma.

Cask at JDW Briar Rose, dark brown with off white head, nice roasty aroma with a hint of port, taste is roast malt with chocolate, bitter with only the feintest hint of port, very good!

First beer of the day we finally beat the crowd stealers (Tigerscum) at the Stoop for the first time in 10 years - happy days ... I digress.
Very dark mahogony brown with a frothy tan head that retains well.
Nose carries roast malt, barley, sugars, molasses, subtle berry fruit.
Taste comprises dark toffee, dark malt, wood, nutty tones, berry fruits.
Medium in body with soft carbonation, dry in the finish.
Ok stout - nowt too special!

1/2 at the Tilly Stone Gateshead. Dark roby body with a beige head. Toffee aroma, lovely Garabaldi biscuit and licquorice and blackcurrant flavours. Smooth creamy palate. Very good stout
