Depp ruby in colour, it is fruit dominated in taste and aroma, but both are mild in character and are in the ’wild’ category as oppose to ’tropical’ fruit styles.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: APR 18, 2013 1) Cask handpull, The King’s Head, Llandudno. Clear chestnut under a cream swirl. Watery berry fruit, coffee and earthy malt aroma. Some decent oily hop bitterness, coffee, slight dankness. Cinder toffee hints and hazelnut as it warms. Hints of flavour there. Not balanced and somewhat empty.
2) The felix, Nuneaton, 16/04/13. Beige collared ruby. Zero discernible nose: a rub of beeswax. Regurgitated cocktail impressions; malt loaf, marzipan stillness. Hints of flaked chocolate, Weetabix. Deathly dull, soft-bellied nothingness, heavy and sweet. Sorry.
