(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 17 June 2009) Nut brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, nutty nose with dried fruit, toasty malt and orange peel. Malty, nutty taste with notes of dried fruit, almonds, hints of brown sugar and dusty hops in a bittersweet finish. Medium body, solid malt structure with some sweetness throughout. A nice and malty premium bitter.

Cask - Red brown slightly hazy body with a very creamy beige head; Mellow but hoppy aroma, lemon, orange, pine as well as straight up fresh hop; Flat, fresh, soft textured, balanced bitter body; Quite long finish where bitterness grows with the length, a very little dry, orange and pine like hoppy aromas and a little sweet malt.

Pours a hazy amber colour with a thin sticky tan head. The aroma is light and sweet with malty chocolatey notes. Flavours are light, but crisp, malty, chocolate milk taste, with a touch of hoppy, citrus grapefruit in the finish. A pretty good bitter but the fullers bitter is much better.

Bottle conditioned from the LCBO. A modest white head rests upon a dark copper body, leaving a nice lacing all the way down the glass. Sweet malts in the aroma are complimented by a hint of fresh picked raspberries. The taste was surprisingly bitter, but smooth, with pine and citrus notes from the hops complimenting the sweet malts perfectly. Wonderful long-lasting bittersweet aftertaste.

Bottle (500ml). Poured bronze with a small, rocky, off-white head which lasted very well. An almost herbal aroma with parsley, star aniseed, fantastic fennel-like hoppy notes, ginger, caramel malts, plums and blackberries. Flavor was a good hop bitterness with tart blueberry, juicy blackberries, currents, caramel malts, basil, fennel, gingerbread, roasted hazelnuts and a dry finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, a dry mouthfeel and a good finish.
