Bottle from Sainsburys. Light gold pour with a foamy white head. Good carbonation. Aromas of citrus, peaches, baked apples. A very fruity aroma. Unfortunately the taste didnít live up to the interesting smells eminating from the glass. Floral tasting with hints of grapefruit. Quite a bitter mouthfeel. Finishes hoppy and bitter.

Pours clear pale yellow, Nice head, excellent carbonation,Lots of goldings on the nose. Flavour is slightly hoppy with a very fresh finish. The beer is a littlle starchy and slightly citrus. Not bad, probably one of the better yellow beers I have had but pretty uninspireing.

Cask, Griffin, Carlisle. Slightly tangy, bittersweet golden ale. Flowery, yet clean tasting. Low on aroma, faintly zesty palate. A decent summer-type beer.

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2009 Dusty straw under a slick of white. Pineapple/grape juice and confectionary aroma with a sprinkle of lemon zest. Lemon puff biscuits, wash of orange barley and mellow pineapple tang; lemon milkiness and sparkle, the impression of corn (but more likely wheat). Not quite as brazen as the aroma suggests. Clean, sweet and quenching. Tasty enough, but a bite more hop and a teaspoon less orange barley cordial might have been more so.

500ml bottle from Sainsburyís. A pale coloured and light tasting beer. Good fruit - soft tropical fruits, lightly citric, pineapple and mango. Refreshing and drinkable, with a crisp carbonation. This is a fragrant and attractive beer that sadly lacks genuine character or oomph. Itís nicely laid back, but could say a little more without being aggressive.

Appearance: Yellowy gold colour, slightly hazy, with a clean white head that fades fast. Average level of carbonation. Aroma: A sweetness that has a kind of plasticy scent, strangely pleasant though. Lemony citrus aromas, providing a sharpness on the nose. There are also biscuity malts. Taste: The initial taste of biscuity malts is beautifully balanced with a slight bitter hoppiness behind it. The finish is citric, providing a mildly sharp bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel: Medium, lively, and dry at the finish. Drinkability: A brilliantly drinkable beer, wish I had another one. Very enjoyable, I will now endeavour to find somewhere to try this beer on tap.

oured out a neat hazy bright yellow brew into my glass. Too bad there was almost no head to accompany the brew. The aroma was different than I had expected, thus it turned into a half litre treat. Fruity and fresh with the citrus combo of orange, apricot and lemon and light bready malts. The taste was quite light just like the aroma is. Slight fruit can be found and the hops are finally noticable but mildly flavoured with spice and herb qualities. Light bodied. The light malts character is highlighted by short bursts of bitterness while coming across a bit spritzy. This is drinkable is massive quantities but it does lack a serious defining quality. This doesnít matter as Yellow Hammer is plain olí good.

Dirty hazy orange liquid with nice off-white head, aroma of white wine, honey and some floral tones, flavor is wild with some lavender, apples ,white wine ,crispy. finish has a grapefruit biiterness and some mint. Unexpectedly nice.
