bhensonb (4182), Woodland, California, USA Mar 26, 2007 Cask at The Black Friar. Very minimal floral hop aroma. Brassy color with firm white head. Starts nicely fruity with passing malt and a light bitter finish.Decent mouthfeel. Just excellent. Some sips seemed perfumy and floral. This was not constant. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Jan 30, 2007 Bottle. Citric aroma. Cloudy orange colour with many small floaties and no head. The flavour is dry and a bit yeasty. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 21, 2007 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange body with yeast sediment and a small white head. Floral/perfumey aroma - sugar, hop leaves, and yeast. The flavour is fruity- sugar, pears, and peaches with a cereal middle. Quenchingly dry in the finish.
Tasted at Smokeless Joe in Toronto on January 19, 2007. GregClow (2493), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 19, 2007 Bottle. Pours a fairly clear light golden - I poured slowly to keep the yeast in the bottle, as it seemed like a style that should be enjoyed clear, and I think I made the right choice. Nice aroma, a bit minerally with pleasant Cascade hop notes. Soft body. Light, refreshing flavour - mellow malt, some sweet fruitiness, and an expertly hopped finish, with a fresh, citric character. A pretty simple beer, but quite an enjoyable one. Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 22, 2006 (Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, amber golden with an almost non-existing head. Lightly citrusy aroma. Very light body with no real malt feel but a dry, hoppy finish - sort of quinine style. 291006 madsberg (4873), Søborg, Denmark Nov 6, 2006 Bottled. Golden coloured. Unclear. Not much head. Light herbal and sweet aroma. Favour is somewhat flowery and light spiced. Quite fresh. Medium bodied. Light bitter dry end. Easy to drink. yalnikim (776), Wellington, New Zealand Oct 20, 2006 Tasted sans notes on 21/10/2206. 500ml bottle-conditioned, shared on brew day. Orange gold, hazy, with a reasonable white foam. Throws off a reasonable cascade aroma and a nice whiff of minerally yeast. Very dry in the mouth, stony with a little citrus, pretty thin and seems a little over-attenuated - perhaps the trip out didn’t do this any favours. Short. Would like to try this one fresh.
