Commercial Description:
Cask and bottle conditioned.

Bottle. Hazy yellow-orange color with a medium, short-lasting, white head. Sweet fruity aroma, with floral hops, some yeast (I think I should have let the sediment settle a bit more in the bottle), some maltinesss and some spices. Flavor starts with some sweet malt, andl soon becomes spicier, with a bit of yeast, mild fruitiness, and some hops in the background all the way, getting more dominant in the dry finish. Medium-bodied. An OK beer.

Cask (gravity) at the Harrington Arms Festival, Long Eaton, Derbyshire, August 2005. Almost the standout beer of the festival. Good golden body, lovely spicy citric waves of aroma, smooth and sweet flavour.

500 ml bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. BB 07 07 09. DE09/08.

App.: Clear, fairly deep golden, fair white froth. Aroma: Grain, cereal, apples, fruitiness, sweet, almost like a Belgian ale, with some light floral honey and sort of lemony notes, slightly earthy, light caramel. Palate: Medium-ish body and large, soft, sparse bubbles of carbonation. Flav.: Yeasty and earthy-lemony, quite like a Belgian ale again, some leafy earthy hops and light nuttiness, less fruity than the nose; lightly off-dry with some bitterness.

Quite enjoyable, really. I was pleasantly surprised.

500ml brown bottle. Golden colour. Good sized rocky white head. Aroma is fruity and citrusy, notes of marmalade. A lot of lemon orange hop flavour up front. Moderate malt sweetness, finishes with lemon/grapefruit hops. Dryish finish. Light body, low carbonation.
