2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 DSG (3978) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - OCT 2, 2007
Bottle. Hazy yellow-orange color with a medium, short-lasting, white head. Sweet fruity aroma, with floral hops, some yeast (I think I should have let the sediment settle a bit more in the bottle), some maltinesss and some spices. Flavor starts with some sweet malt, andl soon becomes spicier, with a bit of yeast, mild fruitiness, and some hops in the background all the way, getting more dominant in the dry finish. Medium-bodied. An OK beer.
2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 yalnikim (800) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 20, 2006
Tasted sans notes on 21/10/2206. 500ml bottle-conditioned, shared on brew day. Orange gold, hazy, with a reasonable white foam. Throws off a reasonable cascade aroma and a nice whiff of minerally yeast. Very dry in the mouth, stony with a little citrus, pretty thin and seems a little over-attenuated - perhaps the trip out didn’t do this any favours. Short. Would like to try this one fresh.
