COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Awarded People’s Choice Award at the Red Star Brewers Festival in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The German city of Cologne is called Köln and beer from that city is called Kolsch, a top-fermented ale first made in 1254. This Kolsch is bone-dry with a soft malt flavor and very delicate hop bitterness. Our American-made cousin is clean tasting, refreshing and smooth. O.G.: 12 Plato, IBUs: 21, ABV: 5%

12oz bottle into Le Listermann (no clue how old this beer is, considering the brewery is out of business) - nose is fresh grass. Lemon peel or plain lemon to the face. Sweaty lemon.

its probably not fair for me to even be rating this as the one I tried was certainly skunked: light gold color with a huge white head; the one I tried was seriously overcarbonated; must have been skunked - it had a nasty vinegar taste and was undrinkable

On tap at Cincinnati Winter Beer Fest (CWBF) 2013. Clear golden color. Minimal white khaki head. No nose. Kind of a lagery, basic flavor. Minimal grassy hops. Bready malts. Nothing basic, just boring. Little loose lace. Light to medium body. Dry texture. Sweet taste. Light bitter. OK golden.

Draft. Barley malt aroma. Light yellow with moderate head. Sweet earthy barley malt flavor. Mildly bitter hay hops finish. Pretty good.

Clear medium gold with a long head cover and a full cover of lace. The taste is tart immediately after the initial malt opening, becomes more bitter as it moves through the palate, ending with distinctive sweet and tart on separate areas of the tongue. Light and refreshing, not a lot of flavor.
