2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Slight hints of chocolate and malt that peak in the aftertaste. Moderately carbonated. Tastes exactly what it says it tastes like in the description, a little bit more flavour would make it appeal to me a bit more.

On tap. Light roast and faint caramel aroma. Cereal and hay flavours, faint mixed fruit finish. Not great but better than the pale ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pretty tasty lager. Reminds me of a stout just a little lighter in body. Taster is very stoutish with taste of roasted barley some slight coffee notes. Decent and enjoyable

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Small bottle, not poured into glass. Distinctive roasted malt flavour with a bit of smoke. Dark chocolate. Malty and slightly bitter. One of the better OK beers I've had.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a very dark brown with some light shining through, a large initial beige head that quickly becomes thin and leaves small traces of lace up the glass. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, and light coffee(almost a touch sour but just a bit off in general). Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, sour tannin extracted coffee and comes through fairly watery. I remember when I loved this beer in my first days of "Craft Beer".

2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Dark brown pour with minimal head. Aroma isnít indicative of a dark lager at all. The taste isnít really either. Minor hints of the things found in a more full profile - chocolates and roasted malts in very thin profile. Not great.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap at Loganís, Victoria, BC. Pours black, opaque, with dissipating head. Nose is roasted malt, chocolate. Flavour is roasty dust on top of nutty lager, like two different beers mixed together. Alright, way better than a macro lager, the appearance is the best thing about it.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap @ Bottoms. Darkest brown with a faint amber hue, foamy off-white head settles and mostly lasts. Muted aroma of roasted malt. Thin roasty semi-sweet malt taste, some chocolate and a hint of coffee and some sour notes. Average carbonation, weak body, low hopped. Light bitter watery finish. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)
