COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Brewmaster had added his own twist to this traditionally-brewed Weizen, which pours to a cloudy, golden amber colour. The result is a craft brew with a hint of apricot to give it a refreshing seasonal taste.

Great beer for hot summer days. Well, for any day really. It’s my favourite from this brewery which says a bit because Okanagan Springs is my favourite brewery. Anyway it tastes like apricots alright. It is basically a better Aprikat (by Alley Kat). Really easy drinking. One of the only fruit flavoured beers I like. My only complaint is that it was spelled "Summer Weizen" when Summer is spelled "Sommer" in German, so the English and German kinda clash. Wouldn’t be a big deal but this brewery was founded by Germans.

Single bottle purchased from a BC Liqour Store in Radium, BC on 08/10/2012. Colour: Light orange with hints of grey and yellow. Medium head that disapeared quickly. Nose: Very forthright apricot...not just a hint, also some apple. Some spring flower garden and cotton candy. Taste: Medium sweet, light bitter, light sour. Perfumy and floral up front. Apricot reapears in the middle and then some soft candied malt late. Very refreshing and quite nice.

Fruity and floral aroma. Cloudy apricot with a fluffy white head. Taste is fruit and floral like the aroma. I really enjoy drinking this beer.

On tap at Black Betty Burger & Winebar, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, not much of the apricot, and not much else. Flavor is dry, with wheat, subtle dry lemon peel and maybe a hint of apricot. Subtle and drinkable. Decent beer for the summer.

Appreciator (26) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - APR 17, 2012
Pours a creamy cloudy light orange with a large white head with a rather aggressive pour. Inviting welcome of medium intensity. Fruity, malty, perfumed types of smells. Pulled apricot (obviously because it says that on the label) must, spices, and other unplaced citrus. Medium intensity taste with a light to medium body to it. medium aftertaste with a robust creamy texture. Sweet, sour, hoppy apricot flavors with the must really coming through. Very refreshing, mildly unbalanced flavor quality. Appreciated.

Unclear orangey copper, foamy white head fades quickly. Fruity floral wit aroma. Mildly sweet apricot taste, light yeasty wheat malt backgound. Average carbonation, light bodied, no hopped. Light and refreshing, dry finish. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

341ml brown bottle. Golden and cloudy in the glass. Creamy foam. Fruity and perfumey apricot nose, sweetish but appropriate for the fruit in question. Taste has soft apricot up front, sweetness fades into typical weizen territory, grainy, wheaty. Dry finish with grains, slight yeast. Light bodied, creamy, smooth carbonation. Good beer, apricot seems to work well with hefes. It’s sunny and 17C with a light breeze, this beer is going down well.

Bottle. Cloudy dark amber. Thin white head. Strong apricot aroma wafts above the glass. Beer is malty, a bit sweet, has some yeast and meaty apricot. A bit of bitterness in the finish.

Surprisingly good. Pours a nice deep yellow. Smells nice..apricots, jam, marmalade, flowers, peach gum. Nice fruity apricot and peach on the palate. Nice balanced sweetness. Average finish. I could drink a bunch of these on a hot day.

Bottled sample. Pours cloudy orange, thin white head, spotty lacing. Nose is pretty - apricots, cream, light florals. Flavours are juicy apricot, clean wheat, some interest here, but overall the mouth doesn’t deliver on the nose’s promise. A pleasant enough brew...
