Bottled at Ølfestival, Århus, 2008. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt as well as light notes of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of wood as weill as light notes of oxidation, leading to a bitter finish. The body is thin.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Comes as ’’’’Branded Coal Fire Porter’’’’ at 4.6% ABV. Clear, almost black with a reddish hue and an off-white head. Lightly vinous aroma with some burned malt. Fairly light in body with burned and smoked (peat/whisky) malty accents and a vague bitterness in the finish. A very pleasant example of an English Porter. 120507 and 210908

Draught. Pitch black colour, huge white head. Aroma of sweet malts, some hops, roast and hay. Also dark fruit and slight roast. Flavour strong roasted and smoked malts with caramellish hints. Wet smoked wood in finish and aftertaste. Quite leathery all the way through also. Pleasant brew, though the hops do make it a bit "strange".

Bottle, 4.6%. Fruity aroma, slightly roasted, hint of smoke. Black colour, small creamy light brown head. The flavour is mildly roasted, quite vinous, hint of salami smokiness. Mild carbonation.
