1.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 fiulijn (10000) - Como, ITALY - JAN 10, 2009
Cask Conditioned at Woodin’s Shades, London Cloudy golden color, with a creamy head. Bad aroma, like the beer that flows in the tray, or fermenting fruits; is this the first pint of the day? The body is soft, but there is an unexpected sourness; less bad than the aroma, but very suspicious. I can’t drink it.

Pours hazy golden with a small, bubbly, white head. Okay duration. Aroma is doughy malts, a little caramel and weak fruity hops. Low carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is pleasantly sweet, lots of malt and with a soft hoppy touch. Good, rather fruity aftertaste. Tasty.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 hughie (3992) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 6, 2007
UPDATED: DEC 1, 2010 Cask, gravity, at Bedford Beer Festival ’07. Amber. Malty aroma. Faint malt taste, otherwise a bit vapid... no, actually it’s rather good. Anyway that’s what I wrote in my notes. 1.12.10, Cask at Pilgrims Progress (JDW), Bedford, after the end of ’Spoons Beer festival ’10. Gold with a small white head. Malty aroma and very sweet taste, slightly grainy. Some bitterness. Easy drinking and enjoyable. Served a bit too warm. This rating is probably more valid than the last, as I was probably well away that time. Rating: 6,3,6,4,11:3.0
