Cask handpull at Fly in the Loaf, Liverpool. Copper colour with creamy head. Seem to use a tight sprinkler. Yeasty session bitter with goodish hop finish. Bit metallic. Even still tasty session beer. Bit thin around the edges but core yeast/caramel/hop falvours hold together well. A bitter that is bitter
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 RoyceH (1180) - Hesperange, LUXEMBOURG - SEP 6, 2005
Direct from the brewery, and on tap at The Waterfall, Glen Maye. Nice hoppy beer, looks a nice ruby-brown colour. Head seems not to last, but is light tan. Nice gentle beer, very fruity and easy to drink. A little watery.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 chriso (7254) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2003
UPDATED: AUG 8, 2004 Copper coloured. Malty aroma with hoppy notes. Mellow malt palate and finish with good balancing fruity hops. Smooth and relatively full bodied for a session bitter of this strength. Dry finish. A pleasant, easy drinking, bitter. Handpump, The Speaker, London SW1, May 2003
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 imdownthepub (8492) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 13, 2003
Cask Conditioned at The Plough, Adderbury. Copper gold in colour with a lasting white lacey head. A sharp dryish bitter, fuller in flavour than expected. There was a salty note overlaid with a soft fruity tone.
2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Nuffield (3348) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - JUL 8, 2003
Golden/copper color with a hint of red, and a ring of gentle head. Gentle hop-laden aroma, pleasing, though not leading to as vital of a floral flavor as I would have anticipated. Let down by a watery, flat body. There is something else emerging from in the flavors as it warms, suggestive of caramel/sugar-covered peanuts, I think. (on tap, Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford)
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 SilkTork (4898) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - MAY 29, 2003
UPDATED: OCT 16, 2003 Cask, Dacre Arms, Blackheath. A small, neat pub in a residential area. Padded benches and wood panels. Gentile clientèle. The beer is a glowing orange-red. The nose is yeasty with a touch of sulphar. Restrained and wet is the first taste impression. Some fruit, and a dry, slightly fragrant finish. Fruit is like the water from tinned oranges with all the sugar removed. Hop bitterness intrudes more and more, with the light fruit struggling but just about holding its own. A slight memory of salt well into the finish. And again.. Fresh, Rose's, Woolwich. A pleasant though unremarkable bitter. Decently average with the balance tipped slightly more in favour of the hops. A traditional decent session bitter.

Amber - not in the beer sense but literally like a piece of amber; kind of watery, caramel, touch of copper, wood, finishes slightly sweet.
