COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled. Filtered and force-carbonated.
"Okells IPA is an extremely light coloured beer with a surprising full bodied taste, the sweetness is offset by a very strong hopping rate. That gives the finished beer an over all roundness with very spicy lemony notes and a fine dry finish to counteract the initial sweetness."
originally known as Dr Okells’ IPA

A very fine and refreshing piwo with some citrus fruits upfront. Then the hops is coming with good balanced carbo and high drinkability. Very quaffy, very crispy beer which made my evening. Fine one.

Bottle from Ales by Mail. The beer has got a clear amber-brown colour with a very low head and medium body. Aroma of hops and spruce. Taste of hops, barley, grass, citrus fruits, herbs and bread. Bitter-flowery finish. Easy and smooth to drink, enjoyed it.

Pours almost completely clear orange color, topped with a fairly small white head. Initially plesant citrusy aroma which develops into a more caramel-like and biscuity aroma. Taste starts sweet with notes of caramel, followed by a decent hoppy bitterness. Very nice.

AshtonMcCobb (2935) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 29, 2014
Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - lemon and pink grapefruit. Taste - more of the same. The pink grapefruit has just enough sweetness to make this not overly sweet. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry balanced finish. Overall - yes, enjoyed this.

Idiosynkrasie (4099) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - OCT 27, 2014
500ml bottle. Clear, pale orangey golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity hoppy aroma has notes of gooseberry, other berries and stonefruit, a minimally bitter and herbal touch, biscuity malt basis. Taste is minimally sweet biscuit malty, minimally bitter hoppy overtones with a touch of gooseberry, lemon biscuit finish; slightly watery, rather flat carbonation.

Really disappointing beer, this is not an IPA. Definitely doesn’t fit the description on the back of the bottle. The experience will not be repeated..

Bottle from Ales By Mail [080814]
Golden amber, light haze, frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of grapefruit, citrus zest, sweet pale malts, decent amount of zest here
Taste as expected from the aroma, plenty of bitter citrus zest, pithy grapefruit, fairly sweet pale malts, lemony zest, malts let the hops thorough, clean fresh flavour
Palate - soft carb, medium body, good bitter sweet balance. Finish as main flavour, bitter zest, clean finish
Overall - Well made beer, clean, quaffable, easy drinking, very fresh
