Commercial Description:
Bottled. Filtered and force-carbonated.
"Dr Okells is an extremely light coloured beer with a surprising full bodied taste, the sweetness is offset by a very strong hopping rate. That gives the finished beer an over all roundness with very spicy lemony notes and a fine dry finish to counteract the initial sweetness."

Pale golden colour, nice white head, that turns out quite stable. Harmonious citrus hop aroma. A good bitter punch on the tongue, some spicy notes as well lemon tastes. A great little bitter from the Isle of Man.

Misty orange beer with medium white head. Aroma is pleasant: hoppy fruits and some malts and grass. Flavour is strongly bitter but not very pleasant way. Flavour is also musty and clearly worse than aroma. Quite light to drink with lot of carbonation. Disappointment after great appearance and aroma, but musty flavour and soda-like palate doesn’t save this beer.

500 ml bottle. Slightly cloudy golden color, creamy white head. Hoppy aroma. Crisp, bitter taste, sweet malty finish. Oily mouthfeel, medium-low carbonation. Pretty good.

Golden, small lacing head. Malty nose, at first it’s grassy, later flowery hops, little fruitiness. Straightforward malty and grassy flavor. Clean bitter finish, little seedy grapefruit. Light to medium bodied. Still not an IPA, although this one has a bit more effort.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Light golden body. Foamy. Hoppy nose. Nice hoppy taste, with slight citrus. Very creamy with a slight prickle. Bitter finish. Enjoyable bitter.
