2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
500 ml can. Brewed in Bobruisk, Belarus (Heineken Group). Labelled as Okhota Krepkoe Export. ABV: 6.3 %. Pours clean deep yellow colour. Very good pillowy tall white head. Stays. Soft carbonation. Aroma: sour overripe apples, honey, booze, malts. The taste is all about corn, malts, sour apples and a massive load of alcohol. Light to meduim body. Yeap, cheap & tough. I suppose this version is more like a strong lager. Why did I try it? I’m just curious.

1.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
This thing smelled awful: I remember that. I drank this about 4 days ago. Wet basement aroma, damp rags and spilled oil. But, the taste was fine. Actually it went down quite smooth. Not too sweet, not too funky, tasted like a regular kinda lager. Residual refreshing after taste.

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
[plechovka] Světle zlatá barva, čepička pěny velmi rychle opadne, vůně chleba, sladu a alkoholu, mírná hořkost, chuť alkoholová. Dozvuk na jazyku je alkoholově-nasládlý. Pro samý alkohol špatně pitelný pivo.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
I have to admit I got this due to everything on the label is in Russian and included figure of hockey player on it. The aroma is a light grain boozy character. Body is a golden color with a just a hint of a haze. Minimal paper thin head. Malty alcohol and grain taste. A tough one to get down the palate. A brew only a Russian Mom would love.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cloudy yellow-orange pour with a small white head. The aroma is mostly corn with some mild skunk. It has a light body with oily texture and lively carbonation. The taste is sweet from start to finish.

0.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
One of the most rancid Russian beers. It is just some malt water, hop extract and a dash of C2H5OH.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Label design is slightly different and strength is 8.1%. Pours gold with a small white head that disappears in seconds. Sweet aroma of bread, malt and alcohol, and a hint of spiciness. Sweet with a big alcoholic finish. This is the one that people who are hard on cash buy to get trashed. Gets harder to drink as it heats up. Do yourself a favour and throw it in the freezer before opening.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
500ml can -
My buddy had brought this (and a few others) back from a vacation to Russia. While a Russian Strong Lager isn’t quite what I was hoping for, I’m happy to rate something rare and not found here in the States.
The beer pours out a light golden yellow body, crystal clear with a standard 1" white head that melts quickly (pour a Bud Light and you get the idea). Aroma has a strange gunpowder-y smell combined with white wine. Flavor has a strange wine cooler kind of flavor...really fruity and kinda white wine like. It’s actually pretty good, but after it warms up a bit it really falls apart.
