2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
200 cl PET bottle from a Russian supermarket in Germany. This beer is pale, thin and does not give you much head. Very soft hops and a grassy corn like taste.

2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Can 0,5 l. Pale yellow, almost fully disappearing white fizz head. Nose is absolutely beautiful, perfumy, candy, flowers, berries. Flavor on the otherhand is blunt, unattractive and lacking. Some maltiness to be found, but otherwise very unappealing for some reason I can’t really point at. No hops nor bitterness. Ok texture and carb.

0.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Watery aroma, body, and taste. Rubbing alcohol off flavor. One of the worst beers I ’ve ever had.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
From a stubby 500 ml. euro bottle with no freshness date, sampled at cellar temperature in a lager glass.
Poured a clear lager golden with a frothy white head that slowly settled into a thin sudsy lacing.
Aromas of sweet pale malts with a touch of cereal, a whiff of mustiness and a light spiciness.
Good steady carbonation and a lightly crisp, dry, smooth light bodied mouthfeel.
Tastes of sugary pale malts, dry cereal grains, a very subtle lemony sourness, towards the end a soft grassy spiciness and a light taste of alcohol, and dry spicy, sweet malty finish.
Not bad, did the trick on a warm spring day.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
3s straight down. Thin, grassy and straw and sour aroma. Taste is pretty active, far from bland, but the tastes are not at all what I like... basically a souped up BMC.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle poured a straw yellow with a good head and spotty lacing.
Aroma is strea and grass as is the flavor with a light hopy finish.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Drunk as a bottle of Nubo Oxota: One of the more drinkable Russian pale lagers, this has a straw body with a large bubbled, short lived head. The aroma is sweet, grassy, and a touch skunky. Medium-bodied, it has a straightforward, sweet grassy flavor with a modest amount of floral hopping. There’s a bit of sourness in the finish, mainly hoppy, but slightly sour. Not too bad.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. The label calls this Ohota. Don’t see Svetloe anywhere on the label but the picture label looks the same as the one on the left and the ABV of 4.5% matches. Pours straw yellow with a modrately foamy white head. Thin prickly lacing left on the sides of the glass. Nose is slightly grassy and a bit on the sweet side. Thinned malts and buttery notes as well. Taste is a bit "hoppier" than the nose would let on. I put it in quotes because it’s not really that hoppy. Slight grass and straw along with bread dough and sweet buttery notes. Not bad. Body is light with medium carbonation feel. Finishes with more sweet buttery notes, bread, grass and hints of straw. Refreshing beer on a hot day, but not much else.
