COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The pale ale is a true American beer, traditionally brewed with American style hops and malt. Light amber color with a full body feel and a crisp finish. The American style hops add fantastic aroma with a balancing bitterness that will please a “hophead” while allowing a great entrance to bolder beer for those new to craft beers. This beer will best be paired with food that has lots of variety (flavors and spices). The beer will “calm the storm” so you can get another bite in.

16 oz. can from sampler. Pours a darker red-gold with a medium head. Looks very nice in the glass, actually. Aroma is all the cascade hops, very piney, grassy, and herbal. Flavor similar with a weak malt counterpoint. Very long, bitter finish. Decent pale ale.

On tap at the brew pub in Okoboji. Pretty average APA - my opinion is that the hops aren’t as present as advertised.

Near gusher from a pint can cracking the can immediately results in tart berries, cardboard oxidization and lots of band aid. Cloudy, dirty copper pour with a huge, chunky, beige head. Aroma of, cardboard oxidization, caramel, citrus, lots of berry and tree fruit, earthy funk, butterscotch and band aid. Flavor is tons of oxidization, green wood, earthy funk, metal, tart berry and stone fruit, light citrus, light pine, grass and lots of plastic-laden band aid. Light, dry body with a very strong, blanketing and somewhat sharp carbonation. Lots of off flavors here, definitely seems like some sort of infection, especially with the insanely explosive pour that still manages to leave a huge carbonation and off style funk and acidity. Not very good, obviously, but interesting.

cloudy, golden color, HUGE, frothy almond-colored head. nose is grassy hops, slight amount of malt and not a lot else. flavor is grassy hops with a somewhat plasticy character (don’t mean that in a bad way). finish is mildly bitter. pretty decent overall.

Tallboy can to snifter. Heavy heady foamy pour with half fluffy foam, very hazy pale looks like apricot purree. Aroma is a heavy spice possibly oxidized aroma, kind of belgiany, with overripe fruits, something funky like with garlic/onion.Soapy ripe fruit. Not really the typical character of Centennial/Cascade hop interpetation Im use to. Taste is wet, kind of too foamy, that belgiany spicey ripe fruit hop taste, kind of a harsh citrusy bitter. Taste is kind of funky for a pale ale. Has some woody dryness also.Ok,not bland but doesnt seem very solid. Dont really care for the overall flavor/taste it has I guess.

Pours a amber color, skunky aroma with hop flavor and soapy finish, gonna pour it down the drain.

Can shared thanks to John. Pours out an attractive, mostly clear golden color with a moderate off white head. Aroma is of citrus, grass, caramel and light toast. Taste is wet bread, light citrus, some mild grassy hops, mild grains.

Can shared by jcwatts. Poured a clear light amber body with a foamy light beige head. Aroma of pineapple, touch of chocolate, medium done toast and some bread crusts. The body is watery with light carbonatin that finishes watery with a quick fading aftertaste. Flavor is a step down from the aroma, notes of seltzer water, earthy chocolate, orange slices, citrus notes and some old bread. Meh, nothing special.

Picked up a 16oz can from Great River, unlabeled beer with "Blue" written on the side of it, pours a hazy golden amber with a decent white head, aroma has a little bit of must, might be old hops, the flavor has a decent amount of hops on the front end but finishes pretty funny, kind of like basement flavors, had better.
