3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bbrock81 (291) - Le Mars, Iowa, USA - JUN 3, 201216 oz can. Pours a hazy, dark brownish-gold with a thick white head that dissipates rapidly leaving a patchy layer on the surface of the beer. Aroma is quite nice, yeasty, sweet, floral, spicy (clove), and fruity. Flavor is on the sweeter side initially, fruity and yeasty, followed by a long finish that is too bitter for the style. Palate is a bit harsh. Overall a decent beer, one I would certainly drink again, though I probably wouldn’t seek it out and would likely prefer another Saison over this if given the option.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 AGAquino (654) - San Juan, PUERTO RICO - APR 11, 2013
16oz can from Beertopia in Omaha. Slightly cloudy amber colour, slight foamy head. Balanced spicy sweet flavours of malts and yeast. Moderate hop bitter. Very very good beer, good thing I bought a 4 pack.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 wlajwl (2891) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - FEB 13, 2013
Aroma is spices, malts, sweetness and mildly perfumed. The flavor is malts, medium tartness, light spices, a mildly off sourness and a tangy finish.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 igneous1 (1467) - Davenport, Iowa, USA - FEB 8, 2013

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 heemer77 (5008) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - JAN 22, 2013
From a 16 oz can. The body is a hazy rich copper with a whispy thin off white head. The funky nose has mango and leather. There is also some black pepper spice. There is also some caramel. This tastes fairly funky and tart. There is some fresh mangos and bitter grapefruit peels. There is also some salty leather. There is a lot of funk and tartness in this one. A decent brew, but the sour character is a little much for me.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ads135 (1572) - Lawrence, Kansas, USA - DEC 2, 2012
Calling this a farmhouse ale is somewhat strange as it seems something in between that and a real sour ale. Less wheat and spice than pure Belgian yeast funk. Still, not bad.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 CanIHave4Beers (2495) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - JUN 22, 2012
Pours a light orange color with a big head and great lacing on the glass.
The aroma is citrusy, a little soapy, mildly floral and has a bit of raw grainy malt.
The flavor has a good bit of citrus fruitiness, some crackery malt, and is largely dry. Banana and dusty flavors work well and the hoppiness is generally of the floral type. Very well balanced.
I had absolutely no expectation of this being even close to this good, what a pleasant surprise.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 SphinxTX (2846) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - MAR 24, 2012
16 oz. Can. Pours clear amber with off-white head. Aroma of lemon & ginger with hints of farmhouse and candy. Flavor is dry and fruity with hints of citrus, very earthy with a light, weedy like bitter. Light-medium body with medium-high carbonation. Overall, not the best example of a Saison I have come across, seems rushed and the best word I can think of, not traditional, kinda generic. Hope when the brewery is built it will improve.
