2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at Staropolska in Chicago on Milwaukee Avenue. Refreshing and light, slightly sweet, similar to Miller High Life. A great drink alongside a meat-heavy Polish meal.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at Staropolska in Chicago. Pours a deep gold with a persistent white head. The nose is pretty straightforward. Light grainy notes and a brisk, yet non-descript hop presence. Clean. On tasting, crisp and refreshing with a light sweetness and balancing bitterness. Clean finish. Really easy drinking.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Polish version of BMC swill. Pale generic ale with a bit of an off skunky taste. There are far better beers from Poland worth trying.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A rating from an old notebook. Bottle. Golden with a thin white head. A boring lager that’s actually more unpleasant than most.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle from the LCBO a while ago before they switched to the Premium Pils. I dig the goat logo, reminds me of the Keith’s stag a little. This beer had a strong lager taste, but it was quite good overall.

Bottle. Pours clear yellow and gold with a small white head. Aromas of sweet malt, corn, wheat, and alcohol. The flavor is similar; sweet malt, caramel, and grassy notes. Average.

Mild isses, ausgewogen, auch ein wenig malzig. Im Nachgeschmack herb-bitter, ein wenig unstimmig. Zu hohe Erwartungen? Vielleicht...

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
5.5% ABV (as written on can)
I tried this beer on March 9, 2011 after purchasing from the Queen’s Quay LCBO outely. The beer poured a translucent dark gold colour with absolutely no head, although there was quite a bit of effervescence. The aroma is grainy malt, and some weak hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is grainy malt, bitter hops, and a little acidity.

Now comes in a can at the LCBO (had it a few times in bottles previously), written "Premium Pils" on it. Pours a golden colour with not much carbonation, but a big frothy head that stays a long time creating a film all around the glass. The nose is mostly cereal malts with a sweetness to it. Thin, wet, refreshing mouthfeel. Grainy malt, not sweet though, with some light hop just giving it a little bitterness in the finish, and some dryness. An average Polish beer that is made to refresh. Made with water, barley malt and hops (no corn here).
