Another fine lager out of Poland, very tasty and a great body and carbonation.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 BlackHaddock (1674) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2012
Brown 500ml bottle, best before 4th Oct 2008, drank on a wet and cold evening in November 2007.
Poured into one of my Veltins Pilsner glasses, twice.
Normal Pilsner golden colour, clear and crisp looking. A large white head soon fell away to a thin film of covering. If the head had stayed a while the appearance score could have been higher.
The aroma, like almost all pilsners/lagers is very weak and difficult to find. It gets my usual score of 3.
The taste is nothing special either, dry and unappetising.
The mouthfeel is thin and watery, this isn’t a beer I could a single thing really going for it. Below average.

Malty bready aroma with a hint of grass. Malty sweetish, slightly grassy flavor. Hints of citrus. Could be more hoppy to make a real impression.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 reebtogi (2159) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 5, 2012
500ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a 2 finger white head that dissipates quickly leaving a few specks of lacing behind. Aroma is light toasted malts and grassy hops. Taste is light malty sweetness with a crisp hoppy bitterness. A refreshing and easy to drink lager which is quite enjoyable.

On tap at Staropolska in Chicago on Milwaukee Avenue. Refreshing and light, slightly sweet, similar to Miller High Life. A great drink alongside a meat-heavy Polish meal.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 NobleSquirrel (2671) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 31, 2011
Draft at Staropolska in Chicago. Pours a deep gold with a persistent white head. The nose is pretty straightforward. Light grainy notes and a brisk, yet non-descript hop presence. Clean. On tasting, crisp and refreshing with a light sweetness and balancing bitterness. Clean finish. Really easy drinking.

5.5% pale gold colour with no head, not much aroma or taste, a bit bland, you can get beer that tastes like this anywhere

Polish version of BMC swill. Pale generic ale with a bit of an off skunky taste. There are far better beers from Poland worth trying.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Joeh (2036) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 19, 2011
A rating from an old notebook. Bottle. Golden with a thin white head. A boring lager that’s actually more unpleasant than most.

500ml bottle from the LCBO a while ago before they switched to the Premium Pils. I dig the goat logo, reminds me of the Keith’s stag a little. This beer had a strong lager taste, but it was quite good overall.
