Little bit disappointing if the truth be told. Had high hopes for this Polish lager after trying other nice lagers. At the start there is that familiar sweet taste of lagery hoppery texturey delights, followed though by a sour and somewhat down taste, it loses its flavour a little... there is a bit too much creamy froth... it misses out a little this one.. still its not awful, just i’d prefer other beers.

50 cl (brown) bottle, ’bbe’ Oct 08. Clear light coppery with a great fizz and a rich white foam. Nose of hops, dark bread, a hint of raisins, a bit funky. Flat, light malty taste; strange, incoherent texture with a soapy finish.

At least it’s 7% and affordable. Besides that, not a whole lot going on here. Malty and Polish. Yay.

16/08 0.5 l can from a gas station near Warszawa. Poured deeper golden body with small head. As usual, lemony and somewhat grass hopped aroma with flowery malt background, nice but quite weak. Alcohol can be hinted just a little bit as well. Flavor is pretty cute, malty with some interesting flavors besides honey and flower, like let’s say butter biscuit. Also some lemon hops are present here, but unfortunately everything is so weak it can’t simply be enjoyable. Pretty short and slightly alcoholic finish. Hm, it’s not bad for sure, but I’ve had few better ESLs those days, unfortunately this one has got much more potential than it offers us.

Can, 0.5l, 15°,7.1% courtesy of heavy who brought it from Poland (thanks!)
Poured a small white head that went away at a medium-slow pace on top of a slightly darker golden body. Malty nose, a honeyish and grainy oily concoction with just a touch of alc. Sweet malty taste weighed a bit by alcohol. Caramel? Biscuit? Light maaaybe lemony hop maybe fruity. An inconspicuous taste with that dull slightly lemony hop tingling the tongue in front of a heavy , dull malt flavored water with some alc. Hum.

Pours a deep straw to amber colour, with a thick fluffy white head. Smell is very crisp and a bit sweet. There’s a bit of hops in there, sort of floral mostly, maybe a bit citrus. Flavour is a nice bit of hop bitterness, with a hint of flowery hop flavour. Not much in the way of malts, maybe a hint of breadiness, but not much. Carbonation is ok, and it’s not exactly creamy, but it’s not too watery.

50cl bottle. Pours golden. Aroma filled with grains and malt. Taste is malty and cereal, sugary malt (some honey) a little hoppy. Really nothing special.
