3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 D (577) - Gdynia, POLAND - SEP 11, 2005
UPDATED: JAN 31, 2007 Vast improvement recently. Pours golden with medium, lasting head. Very reasonable carbonation. Slightly sweet, quite rich malty taste with slight caramel notes. Not much alcoholic, which used to be the biggest drawback of this beer. Warming and pleasant. Very good in the league of Polish strong lagers, may be even the best among the mainstream beers of this type.

strong lager by every sence of it, very sugary, not that good but ok on a hot day
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 SoLan (1550) - Florida, USA - AUG 26, 2005
Bronze. Bubbly white head. Malt, alcohol, corn, some hops in the aroma. Same flavor. Like a stronger version of american macro lagers with more hop character and a bit of warming alcohol. Medium/light body and plenty of carbonation. Thanks to a friend I did not have to pay for this one.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 MrManning (1942) - London, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 26, 2005
Light amber. Bubbly, short lived white head. Nose is filled with mild hops aromas, grassy notes, and a decent malt backbone. Taste is malty sweetness, some tin/mineral flavours. Mild hop bitterness. As it warms, alcohol is more noticable, and so is slight adjunct. Smooth mouthfeel, and no alcohol burn in the finish. Very close to a malt liquor.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Mungo (2473) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - AUG 23, 2005
Bottle BBE Jun06 (23/08/05).Fruity with spicy hop/alcohol aromas. Fairly sweet but some balance. The second half of the bottle becomes more unpleasant with excessive alcohol flavours.

500ml bottle: poured clear golden yellow with almost zero head. Moderate fruit aroma of apples. Flavor is mostly apples as well, like a cider. Mild alcohol finish. No entirely bad.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 TBone (9096) - Pori, FINLAND - AUG 5, 2005
Bottled, alc. 7% (BB 05/2006)
Golden color, small white head. Skunky, grassy hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, sweetish malty. A bit metallic mouthfeel, slightly harsh in the finish. Not so alcoholic than I thought this could be.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 Ernest (5113) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 4, 2005
Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is clear dark yellow.
Aroma is moderately malty (grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), with a note of alcohol.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, husky.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
Very grainy, bland, industrial. Could be worse I guess, but it’s certainly not an enjoyable or clean beverage.
