Bronze. Bubbly white head. Malt, alcohol, corn, some hops in the aroma. Same flavor. Like a stronger version of American macro lagers with more hop character and a bit of warming alcohol. Medium/light body and plenty of carbonation.

500ml can. Not much aroma. Pale amber colour with a strong head. Very malty with some hoppy bitterness that does not quite mask the high alcohol content, would do better with less alcohol. Slightly overcarbonated. Warm palate with lingering hoppiness. I guess it’s okay, but not worth buying twice with so many better balanced beers on the market.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2009 500ml can (Carrefour, Warsaw)
Clear orange, brief head. Aroma somewhere between non-descript and not very good. Palate fizzy and a bit watery. Some weird swimming-pool water in the retronasals. Slightly sugary, candifloss or toffee. Malts a big mess, clearly made of something like malt but clearly messed up. Hops likewise. Sticky, bitter, drying, and resiny - but not in a good way. More like a I-just-face-planted-a-random-tree-and-bit-a-branch of way. And that tree was growing near a highway, so it’s coated with pollution from cars. And being Polish, we’re right next to an old industrial park, so it’s probably coated with byproducts of the paint industry. And that’s how my tongue feels. Thanks Okocim! Now, where’s my tongue scraper?

smell is light but smells like crackers or those cadbury cookies that are half biscuit half chocolate.. p nice! its yellow with a lastiing head, it tastes very just indistinctly beery, crackery, white bready, malty sweet overall, the alcohol comes through fairly strong especially in the mouthfeel. totally inoffensive but not ballless and i can feel the buzz beginning after only a few sips.. p good

Canned from a sklep in Antwerpen. Golden color, thin head, nose is sweet grassy. Sweet and malty. Finish is like a kick, the 7.1% is easy to feel...

First off - BBD was just overdue. Secondly, this beer is never really good - always has too much alcohol reek, taste and burn. Nothing has changed. Golden orange and poured hardly any head, but managed to maintain a white ring. Considering the lack of head, it produces some lacing. A little carbonation and a very small ammount of floaties, but overall quite clear. Smell is sweet (maybe honey) with average malt aroma and slight grain, but for most of the tasting the alcohol fumes hang out - not overpowering, just noticable. More alcohol taste. Now that I know better, I’ll admit that this does have a decent ammount of malt, but the alcohol coats it pretty good. Mouthfeel is decent: medium bodied, smooth, adequate carbonation, too much alcohol and a nice sweet bitter finish that accompanies a chest burn. This isn’t Crest Super, but why bother producing this unless your target consumer is piss-drunks. Once again, I’ve left this sit poured a very long time and now it’s quite drinkable where as when it’s colder it’s hard to choke down. But if you open this, you’re gonna want polish (pronounced with a soft ’o’, not a hard ’o’) this off in a hurry so you can get something that you’ll actually enjoy. I just finished it and got quite the buzz. I highly recommend Staropolskie Mocne as the beyond superior alternative. I believe the ingredients of this brew at as follows: water, malts, potato vodka. I’ve got to recommend this to the drunk indians at my liquor store who have a pocket of change that they found in the parking lot and are looking for that single can of Olympia to get buzzed on. Best thing about this beer is the label and the Okocim coat of arms - it’s got a mountain goat just about to hump a giant glass of beer. And if you look very closely, the goat is actually frenching the foam with his eyes closed - no joke. Very odd indeed. Cheers goes to that horny goat!

[2055-20090329] 500mL bottle. Yeasty bread dough aroma is mild. Clear, light orange yellow body with a long-lasting foamy white head. Sweet yeasty bread continues in the flavour. Medium body. Fair.
