A bit of a surprise with this one as I expected an unbalanced malt liquor style. Insterad I was mildly surprised by this beer, clearly alcoholic in nose and flavour, but not a fusel ridden mess. it presents well in the glass and has a pleasant hop and malt balance. Above average for this style and nationality (the porter of course being an exception).

Okay head and dark gold body. Soft swampwater hops aroma. Flavour is strong cardboard with a slightly dry hoppy finish. Not bad for a strong lager, certainly drinkable.

500ML bottle - pours clear golden with white head. Nose is yeast and caramel malts. Taste is somewhat sweet and ends a little bitter. Medium body with thin texture. Tasty and still confused why there is a goat on the label.

Bottle pours mucky light orange with brief white head that fades fairly quickly. Sweet fruity grassy aroma. Taste sweet with the traditional taste of maize, well OK, corn. Little bit if hops on the finish. Palate thick and a bit syrupy. Only picked up a little alcohol but at 500ml and 7.15 it does pack a punch.

Picked this up by mistake meaning to pick up the porter. It’s not nad but wouldn’t seek out again.

Four Pack on sale for 5.49 at the local polish delecateski or whatever you call it. i like the polish beerskis every now and then. I’ve had the OK beer and i thought it was better than OK if I remember right. I’m pretty sure what I picked up was MOCNE but it doesn’t say MOCNE on the can... I’m going by the color of the pour and the strength of the ABV. Black can too, but a different one than the picture shows here. Anyway. smells pretty unoffensive... clean malt, maybe a touch of grass. The pour is really pretty if the beer is super cold and frosts up your glass. nice dark gold. the head was about 1 finger, but reduced to a perfect ring around the edges with a healthy sheet of suds. There is absolutely nothing offensive in the taste. the sour that people are reporting is kindof like a green apple skin.. little sweet little bitter. longer it sits in your mouth the more you get a cooked green vegetable flavor. Again, though. these hints are light. not offensive. the middle of the sip is just mildly sweet. you wouldn’t think this to be a big beer if it didn’t warm your stomach like that. For a 7 percent beer called malt liquor, i’ve had much much much worse. I’m glad i never discovered this one in high school. nitee nite

30-SEP-2011, bottle @Ulkløbben @Morten. Golden, white head. Malty sweet and hay’ish nose Same malty sweet taste. A bit oily with medium to low carbonation. Not really alcoholic, perhaps just a touch in the end.

dark ugly gold, light white head... sweet corn, too skunky... sweet, not skunk, easyish to drink but on the lower end of malt liquors
