2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from backlog notes. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have pale grainy malts, bread, grass, some skunky notes. A typical cheap lager and nothing I would do again.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, 5.6%. Rough hop extract aroma. Clear golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is grainy, sourish, but then ends sweet. Sweet and bready finish. Good mouthfeel. Tastes of more than its ABV.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours clear pale golden with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and yeast. Mildly bitter, hoppy flavour, with sweetish estery touches and hints of citrus and malt. Mild afteraste. Refreshing. An O.K. beer. Just this.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Tasted 7/3/2014. Poured a clear amber colour with a 5mm white bubbly head that diminished quickly to a collar that laced OK. Carbonation medium with small bubble trails. Aroma of soft subtle sweet malt but no hops. Taste is a bit sweetish malt but no bitterness. Palatably soft but not malty and with no bitterness. Light body. Soft, mildly sweet and short finish. Bland. Aroma, tastes and palate comparable with other large commercial brewery lagers.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Spent a lot of time in the 1980s in the High Tatry mountains of Poland. This beer was from West of Zakopane where the mountain water source came through limestone making it a very soft water pils, the most smoky tasting from either Czech or Polish side of the mountain range. To me it was the finest pils in the World with substantial character on the back side. A very solid brew that was readily available in USA. But Carlsberg bought out the company & introduced a bunch of new beers, this was the traditional pils which has changed somewhat. Used to be the best of it’s type in my book. Tried it after Carlsberg took over & tasted about the same. But if brewed in Warsaw does not use mountain water any more.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Aroma is grass, hay, and sweet malt. Dark gold color, almost amber, with a quickly dissipating head. It has a rich flavor but it is rather sweet and mediocre tasting, with qualities of grass and a rich malty base. Finish is too sweet and cloying. Almost tastes like a dirty fermentation. This is OK beer, but I don’t think I will revisit. I have found that beers from Poland are usually better than this.
