tallboy can. pale gold, clear, with a small soda-bubble head of white, quickly diminishing. sweet corn and cereals with fusel alcohol, petrol and calcium notes. light body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, sourish vegetable-like hops, medium-low bitterness. poorly made in every way.

Yet another macromalty, slightly grassy lager with notes of apples, a sweet taste, reasonable body, almost no bitterness and astringent notes in the finish. Bleh.

Only picked this up because of the label which I thought was very cool. Satisfying hop aroma on the nose. Crystal clear appearance. On tasting, has a clean earthy hop flavour with some floral notes. Some metallic flavour, indicative of a lager, however a quality eastern european lager at that. Can imagine myself a happy man in a Polish beerhouse indulging in this.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma of sweetbread and apple pie. Reasonably dark orange lager color. Slight sweet taste with ’o.k.’ hop complement. Crisp body, sized just right for early summer. One of the better lagers around, if only for its lack of industrial qualities.

Pours a clear gold, with a medium head. Tastes a bit spicier than most lagers. Some grassiness as well. Not bad.

From the 500 ml. bottle. It pours an attractive pale lager golden yellow with a lingering head and a funnel of carbonation rising up the center of the glass throughout. What is it about Polish beers? They all have this distinctive yeast aroma kind of breadlike but in this case with a crisp hop background. The body is light to medium. The taste is mildly bitter with a clean finish and fairly typical for the style.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Fizzy and yellow. Very faint aroma of grass and, um, something. Taste is bitter, and not in a good way. Thankfully, the taste is almost non-existent. (thankfully? hmm.)

From tap at Taphouse Grill. Pours clea r and pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild butterish and light toasted malty with a grassy hoppy note. Flat malty and vague grassy into the finish.
