ABUSEDGOAT (1872), California, USA May 11, 2008 Golden color, some lacing and retention. Bread, grain, grass in aroma. Light bodied, solid for what it is.
maniac (1921), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 20, 2008 Botte on 07/20/2008. Very clear golden body with a large rocky white head. Sweet toasty and caramel malt aroma with some honey and faint floral hops. More honey flavor, some floral hops and a bit of graininess. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Bungalo22 (225), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA Jul 16, 2008 Not a horrible malty flavored foreign ale but not a great one either. It had very little hop identity and a whole lot of corn like aroma. schoolofspool (23), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 6, 2008 [500ml bottle]: Crystal straw gold pour with a thin, receding head that soon goes bald. Sweet grainy nose, honey, grassy hops. Flavor is much the same; cereal, honey, mild esters, some earthy hop notes. Body is buttery, light to medium moderate carbonation, not overly fizzy as I would have expected. Tangy finish with a sourish aftertaste. Kind of oily.
Not great, not bad. OK is what they call it and OK’s what it is. That being said I got a suitcase of 10 .5 liter bottles for free and probably wouldn’t purchase it in the future. michael-pollack (1320), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 29, 2008 500ml Bottle: Aroma of herbs, grains, and a little yeast. Poured gold/apple juice in color with a small white head that diminished. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of honey, grains, and a bit of yeast. Light to medium body. Tingly, then sticky texture. Lively carbonation. Honey, grain, and hint of alcohol finish. Overall, an "O.K. Beer." thejon375 (79), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 15, 2008 This was not the best beer. If you want a Bud Light and want to pay more for the same taste then this is your beer. Very boring beer.
