COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Another, after Okocim Wheat, koneserski variant in the family Okocim, which promises exceptional taste and aesthetic experiences. By combining several types of malt, including Munich, caramel and roasted, and two month aging period okocimski Porter reached a unique dark color and a deep, noble taste, seasoned with hints of cedar.

Pours a dark chocolaty brown with a nice fizzy tan head. Very nice sweet chocolate, toffee, roasted nuts, and an almost balsamic vinegar like sweetness (in a good way). Nice medium carbonation with a great smokey mouthfeel. Nice sweet mollasses, toffee, chocolate, fig, and raisens as well as a hint of alcohol. Very nice Baltic, and a great bargain @ $2.99

Another great baltic porter. Probably the best. Aroma is very stong. Appearance is pure black with a frothy head. Mouthfeel and flavor are very smooth and full of burnt hops with a thick malty aftertaste.

aubreya (676) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - FEB 23, 2007
The color was dark brown with dark red hues. The head was medium beige and creamy. The aroma was molasses, sweet malt, and roast. The flavor was molasses, roasty, and alochol. It was similar to a stout. The palate was smooth and the finish, warm.

I was looking forward to this one given my lack of exposure to and the overall rarety of Baltic Porters. This one was what I perceived to be average if not a shade below. Poured a dark brown with reddish hues, lacked overall depth and complexity, you could see through it when held to the light. The head was thin, light brown, and a little frothy. The aroma was rich, roastey, a sort of sweet with some molasses. The flavor was roasted too, had some alcohol, also that sweet molasses taste. The palate was a tad syrupy. The finish was slightly warm from the 8% and maintained that sweetness. Overall an average brew with some nice elements.

Rynoplasty (700) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - FEB 13, 2007
Pours black with red around the edges with a moderate sized tan head. Aroma is caramel and dark malts, and a small amount of alcohol. Flavor is dark and roasty with a finish of alcohol. Overall a good baltic, but not the best for sure.

500 ML Bottle-Poured a black color w/almost no head & moderate lacing. Standard roasted Porter aroma. Smooth rinking Porter w/traces of chocolate, coffee, licorice, & roasted malt. Easy drinking beer, not complex but solid & enjoyable. Alcohol was well hidden. Long roasted finish w/a touch of sweetness.

Burnt malt aroma, dark black color. Chocolate and coffee flavors, with strong alcohol finish and lingering sweetness. Not bad, a good winter beer.

Tessic (611) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 4, 2007
This porter poured a dark black colouir with a bi-coloured head. Frothy at the bottom and creamy on the top. To the nose there is cocoa, ripe fruit and wine. First taste was smooth and roasty with flavours of chocolate and roasted malt with a little hop finish. The palate is slighly bitter with the roast lingering through to the end.
