Bottled. A deep red beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet and again with roasted malt being most dominant, and this carries all the way thru to the end.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 madsberg (7300) - Søborg, DENMARK - FEB 3, 2007
Bottled. Dark reddish brown coloured. Light brown head. Alcohol, roast, some sweetness and chocolate in the aroma. Flavour is sweet and roasty. Is quite sugary and cocoadense. Medium bodied. Has a roasty bitter end with quite notable alcohol. A bit of a dissapointment. Thanks to Sammy for the trade.

This has a classic porter color and a very nice carmel like nose. It has nice notes of brown sugar style malt and has a real fine finsih.

500 ml bottle - pours dark dark brown with a small rapidly diminishing head. Aroma quite grapey, sweet and malty. Alcohol fairly present in the aroma as well, but given the ABV, that’s to be expected. Very nice flavour, sweet, roasted malts, some coffee, chocolate and dark fruit. A dry nutshell sort of flavour too. Beautiful mouthfeel, with soft carbonation perfectly in place. Almost feels like a cask beer in the mouth. Medium finish with more roasted coffee and a pleasant bitterness. A real joy to drink, and certainly the best in Okocim’s lineup, though too much sweetness as the beer warms hampers the overall score.

500 mL bottle. Dark, dark brown, with a bit of brown head - not a lot. Smells like rum-raisin ice cream. Taste is quite sweet, with roasted malt, ripe dark fruit, some coffee, dark chocolate, and plenty of alcohol. Very little bitterness. Interesting - not an everyday beer.

Dark brown with light tan head that was quick to go. Sweet malts of chocolate. Flavour has alcoholic hints and aftertaste. Light amounts of bitterness and a dry palate to finish it off with.
