COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Another, after Okocim Wheat, koneserski variant in the family Okocim, which promises exceptional taste and aesthetic experiences. By combining several types of malt, including Munich, caramel and roasted, and two month aging period okocimski Porter reached a unique dark color and a deep, noble taste, seasoned with hints of cedar.

I defnitely dig this beer. Pours a dark dark brown close to black, head holds a light rim after disappating. Taste is big of toasted malt, light dry chocolate, and hints of roasted nuts. Nice beer.

the beer has the aroma of raisin and plum. the flavors follow the aroma closely and reveals a sweetness that is thick and syrup like and at times could be defined as cloying. too little hint of hop though a dedicated flavor of malt is present. a little bit of cocoa and a caramel like soulness to it probably enhanced by a well matched alcohol profile. a challenging brew to score with touches of salt and soy sauce. today this seems a little shallow to me especially for a porter.

500ml bottle in a pint glass. Very dark brown, hardly any light shining through, light brown head. Aroma of toasted malt. Taste is not too sweet like I normally find porters. Lingers on the palate with a chocolate flavor. I’m sort of biased against porters, but this one does not disappoint.

Poured a dark brown with a light brown creamy head. There were orange/red highlights shining through the glass near the bottom as light passed through. The head left nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was of chocolate and some dried dark fruit like prunes and raisins, but not overly sweet. The taste was initially mildly dry, followed by a bit of a hops bite. Then the flavor of sweet chocolate emerged in the flavor followed by more of a dark chocolate bitterness and some malt sweetness. On the finish the hops remained present and the felling became slightly dry again as in the initial taste. This is very good. Comparable to the Zywiec Porter, just slightly less flavor and smoothness.

Dark brown with a rocky head. Very boozy aroma, but with lots of caramel and chocolate. Very sweet flavor, not too bitter. Smooth mouthfeel. This is a very good porter. I wish it were a bit drier. I imagine that it would age well.

Bottle brown, 500 ml
I am pitifully happy that I’ ve finally got this one!!! Appearance: Pours dark brown, almost completely not seethrough, moderate carbonation of the body, body is slightly rubby red when put to the light. Body texture is clear. Head is beige, cappuccino like, frothy, firm and healthy, long lasting and slowly decreasing from the initial huge size to the moderate. Lacing is also impressive. Very good general impression of the Baltic Porter.
Aroma: Very nice aroma of red fruits especially dry and candied. Plum, prune, dark chockolate, cacao, coffee, whipped cream, nutmeg, wallnut, chestnut, vanilla, cappuccino, cherry, pine forest, resin, raisin. Aroma reminds some good quality English Porters or English Strong Porter mainly differing in higher gravity and alcohol content. Aroma is very strong and pleasant.
Taste: Very nice strongly bitter and comfortably dry front. Notes of dark chockolate, cacao, coocoo candy, roasted arabica coffee beans, wonderful red fruit accentsperfectly balanced with roasted Munich malt and sharp hoppyness, all in the background of almost winter - warmer like alcoholic impressions. Vanila stick is also hanging about. Finish duration is long, plaesant and complex with ashy notes in nose.
Palate: Body is full, texture is dry, carbonation on palate is moderate to soft, finish feel is long and full of sophisticated taste aberrations

Bottle from Fermentation Lounge. Dark pour with a medium tan head. Roasted malt and tobacco aroma. Thin to medium slick texture. Nice sweet malt and tobacco taste - maybe a little too sweet. Light bitter finish.

Pours a dark brown almost black. Complex sweet flavors. High alcohol is not really noticable. A good beer to drink on a cold snowy night. Also the price is very reasonable.
