3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Go Ten, Luxembourg City (now brewed by Brasserie Simon, Wiltz). Dark brown, big fluffy off-white head that collapses. Nose is malty, some toasted aromas, but also a kind of funky pils-undertone here too. Some ground coffee. Mouth is light and drinkable, quite a clean taste, pils-y with some hoppiness, not very strong on the maltings. Slightly carbonated with a touch of chocolate and doughiness that lasts in the mouth. Remarkably light palate for a stout. Great to see this beer back, and the best Lux beer by far.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pitch black, small creamy tan head. Buttered milk, fermented cherry, roasted rye. Surprising sourness in taste, interesting. Body is quite thin, though and there isn’t much taste development.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Säuerlich-malziger Beginn. Später verschiebt sich das Aroma zum Malzigen hin, leider wird das Bier aber gleichzeitig wässrig. Minimale Röstnoten, geringe Schokoladigkeit. Zum Ende wässrig bitter. Verbesserungswürdig! 12/5/6/8//7

3.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Go Ten, with a caramel, malty aroma it has a strong blackberry flavour with a hint of licorice. A long malty finish makes this stout a very nice beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap at Decibel in Luxembourg. It poured a very dark ruby-brown liquid with a small dirty white head. A very mild stout with a some roasted malt in the background. Also some caramel. But I would have preferred more of everything.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark color, creamy head. Peculiar aroma, malt, roasted malt, coffee, cream, cheesy yeast. Medium body structure, sweet, some roasted malt; but both the malt and roasted malt are too soft. The flavor is not up to the expectations after the aroma.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Bottle 33 cl) Comes simply as "Redange Quaffit Stout" - nothing "okult" here. Slightly hazy mahogany with a reddish hue. Creamy, beige head leaving a neat lacework. Lightly cocoaish nose. Not overwhelmingly full-bodied with some lightly burned malt. Vinous and very lovely with notes of cocoa and coffee. Light-bitter finish. Unusual but very nice. Organic. What a pity if this brewery is now out of business. 120206

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Beer with an intens black-brown color. The head is big and nicely warm-brown. In the aroma you can notice touches of stong black tea, cold coffee, tar, burned vegetables in the bottom of a cooking pot, hard caramelized apples and burned edges of sweet milkbread. The taste is less interesting. It is very tar like and has the taste of cold black coffee with touche burned Belgian andives and rusty water. The afthertaste is medicinal and has hints if rusty iron. Not the best of stouts.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice roasted malt ans mocha nose with a bit of a lactic taste early on that leaves very rapidly. A good hop presence that is not normal for a stout but works extremely well.
