COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
PROJECT X SERIES Ė Cello Chocolate Oatmeal Stout. Unlike most beers that use chocolate nibs to flavor them, this stout uses over 12 pounds of cocoa husks (from local chocolate makers Cello Chocolates) to add a refined cocoa aroma. On first sip, this black ale will coat your tongue with a rich cocoa-infused creamy warmth and finishes softly with absolutely no harsh aftertaste. Before you know it, itís gone and youíre bringing the glass back to your lips for another taste.

Taster at Whole Lotta Brews Going On at Whole Foods in Folsom. Second best beer here. Aroma is weaker than the flavor, but the cocoa husks really come through. Super chocolately and smooth. Reminds me of a slightly coffee version of Campfire Stout. Great beer.

On tap at the brewhouse, the Cello is an excellent version of a Chocolate Oatmeal Stout. Unlike most beers in this style that use chocolate nibs to flavor, this stout uses over 12 pounds (in a 7 barrel brew) of cocoa husks (from local chocolate maker Cell Chocolates) to add a refined cocoa aroma. Deep, rich, creamy malt depth.

UPDATED: JUL 1, 2013 Draft at the brewpub today. Lovely dark to light brown pour with a thin tan head. Aroma of light coffees, coconut husk, and milk chocolate. Flavor is similar, yet a mild roast appears with a slight hop singe at the finish. Good stuff, and the biggest beer Iíve had from these guys yet...stoked for more Project X!
