Draft. A deep red beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of berries, grain, and bread. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, leading to a dry strawy finish.

Hazy dark amber color. Nice earthy, harsh hoppy aroma. Good body, a lot of caramel, good hopping, but too yeasty. It could be better.

UPDATED: OCT 28, 2007 (Bottle) Pours light hazy reddish brown. Light syrupy, fruity aroma with tones of oranges, pears, mild grapefruit and hints of strawberry jam and pineapple. Some hints of caramel on the nose. A touch of vanilla is also notable. Soapy and light roasted flavour with tones of flowers and citrus, mostly lemons. Also some dark bread, earth and fruits. Chocolate and caramel in the undertones. Ok but a bit too raw mouthfeel. Medium bodied.

Copper color, tan head. Citrusy hoppy scent. Soft malty grainy hoppy taste. Smooth mouthfeel, huge bitterness.

Second rating
(Draught at The Rover, Göteborg)
Slight shady dark copper color, fluffy tan to brown head. Citrus, grape and needles from pine and spruce scent. Very hoppy smell from American styles. At first fruity and hoppy taste, that turns into bitter hoppy later on. Still a bit sweet and almost balanced. Quite nice. Medium to spritzy mouthfeel. Rather high bitterness.

Svesse (7932) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 19, 2007
(Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse No 68, Stockholm) Dark brownish amber colour with huge beige head. Fruity nose with rounded undertones of malt, toffee and chocolate, mingling with citrussy hops and hints of orange peel. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, toffee, dark fruit, chocolate and dark citrussy hops in the finish. Great balance. Leaning in the direction of an english ESB but with more powerful hop character. Another very nice beer from this small but more and more impressive brewery.
