Bottled at RBESG 2007. An unclear amber beer with a thin orange head. The sweet malty with strong notes of citrus as well as medium notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of straw, leading to a very dry and very bitter finish.

(Draught) pours reddish orange. Hops and yeast in the aroma with tones of strawberries, hyacinths, wood, earth, citrus – mostly grapefruit and some hints of vanilla. Some malt is also present with notes of cookies and almonds. Spicy undertones. Hoppy flavour of woody grapefruit, oranges and some floral hints. Some yeasty notes in the flavour as well. Chocolaty undertones. Hint of a grape shell like tartness. Soft and smooth mouthfeel. Light to medium bitter. Medium bodied. Another quite special beer from Öland.

Rastacouere (6174) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 25, 2007
Direct amber pour covered by an off-white cover. Earthy and orangey, fragrant and tropical hop nose, almost explosive, akin to centennial/Amarillo mixture. Definite hop focus from start to finish. A fair toasted malt is easily perceived initially, but the oily middle takes over to lead in the hugely bitter finish. Overdone and proud of it.
