harrisoni (5129), Ashford, Kent, England May 8, 2008 Cask gravity at The Swan, Wittersham, Kent. Hazy pale gold with no head. Citrus hop aroma, bit floral. But not that great in the mouth, bit uncultured, not sure what is going on with the malts and I found it quite hard to finish a half.
maeib (3960), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Aug 4, 2008 Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel, Northampton. A straw coloured beer with a white head and lacing. The aroma is lemony hoppy. There is more lemon in the mouth together with yeast and late diacetyl. Some soap also. It’s OK. imdownthepub (4046), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England May 31, 2008 Cask conditioned at The Guest House, Southport. Pale yellow straw with white head. Quite a flowery, perfumed hop note right from the start, but with a reasonable bitterness the flavours are decent enough. Thin, lightly roasted malts, some biscuit notes. Reasonable. downender (1532), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England May 30, 2008 Cask-conditioned at the Three Guineas, Reading 29/5/08. Pale, slightly cloudy gold with a decent white head. Floral hop aroma with a touch of sweetness. Flavour was also dominated by astringent citrus hops and a hint of sweetcorn. Odd. hughie (2206), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England May 11, 2008 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Gold with a small white head. Hoppy aroma, perhaps slightly citric. A little sourness in the taste and not much else before a faint bitter finish. Rather dull golden.
