May 26, 2008 On tap at Old Boys. Hazy orange body, medium off-white head. Hops-forward nose and body, balanced by sweet, bready malt with hints of caramel. The piney, citrusy hops seemed a bit faded, and hints of oxidation were noted. Still, a serviceable IPA.

Jul 20, 2007 Cloudy yellow color with medium head. Some fruit aroma and taste---but lingering bitter taste was #1 with me.

Apr 5, 2007 Draft at Old Boys. Poured a copper color with an average frothy white head that lasted and produced good lacing. Good hoppy citrus aroma. Medium body. Moderate hoppy citrus flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of average duration. Best of the brews tasted.

Aug 2, 2003 Malty sweet, and at first blush I thought quite diminshed hops compared to some big hop monsters...then the long hoppy finish kicked in, all out earth (not grapefruity necessarily). Hmmm, good balance.

Jul 25, 2003 The teeny hint of sweet that gets steamrolled by the hops is the candle in the Northwestern darkness of this brew. It would be a typical one diminsional American IPA but for that spark; despite the claim of hop complexity - I don't get that.
