RAYBOY01 (1622), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 7, 2008 Clear golden pour with fluffy white head that releases a grassy wheat note and some light citrusy notes. Light flavors of cut grass and a touch of lemon...a beer so light and insubstantial, it’s hard to put your finger on any one distinct characteristic...it doesn’t have any. Tmoney99 (3503), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Apr 3, 2007 Draft at brewpub. Clear yellow color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Light wheat aroma. Light to medium body with a dry texture and soft carbonation. Light sweet flavor with a light sweet finish of short duration. Soft starter brew. Muckrakerr (33), Muskegon, Michigan, USA Mar 29, 2005 On tap at Old Boy’s. The first beer I tried at OB’s. Tart, tangy, yeasty... cloudy. I liked it enough to have two. Silphium (2006), Lansing, Michigan, USA Nov 3, 2004 On tap at OB. One of the weaker wheat beers I’ve tried; in fact, it seems likely that wheat doesn’t make up a substantial or even typical portion of the grain bill. The cloudy yellow-orange body is classic wheat beer, yet the flavor was somewhat odd. Fruity and round-bodied with an initially clean yeast flavor, but there was a strange butterscotchy (not really butterscotch, but that’s the best I can come up with) twang in the aftertaste. Not very good. badnewsbeers (982), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Nov 3, 2004 cloudy amber yellow appearance; hard to pick up aroma; maybe similar to a typical light beer. had sort of a hoppy taste to it actually (some lemon and grapefruit)...somewhat similar to a pale ale; nothing special at all
