Cask at Southampton Arms, London NW5 on 1st March 2010. Copper with mostly diminishing off white head. Sweet malts and a deliciously smoked undertone that lasts to the end, with some grapefruit citric notes alongside. A softly textured mouthfeel, giving a beer that is very easy to drink for its 5.5abv.

Pours a nice, chestnut brown with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, quite nutty, light raisins and roasted malts. A touch of liquorice as well. Light carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is soft, rather elegant, some hazelnuts and light sweet liquorice. Quite drinkable.
