A Belgian wheat beer brewed with curacao orange peel and coriander seeds. Truly Refreshing! This beer compliments our fried pickles, Brew Works Signature salad portabella sandwich, and Ahi Tuna entrťe.

I know theyíve had a few versions of this (the first was the best, which this rating isnít reviewing). From some notes in í06. Cloudy straw with a small white head, good retention. roma of big orange and coriander, a little bit of wheat. Flavor is not bitter at all, follows the aromas to a T, and has a biscuity finish. Light carbonation with a light body.

(Tap) Pours a hazy blonde color with a white head. Not a very good example of the style, in my opinion. Typical citrus/coriander notes are pretty week in this brew. This tastes more like a light beer, and doesnít taste a whole lot different from their Light lager.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy yellow color with a smallish white head, served with an orange. Light citrus and coriander aroma and flavor. Something sour and not quite right about the finish. Decent brew but nothing spectacular.

Draft at brewpub. Cloudy yellow color with an average frothy white head that diminished quikly with fair lacing. Light sour citrus aroma. Light to medium body with a watery texture. Light sweet flavor with a light sweet short finish. Not a standout brew.

On tap at the brewpub, served super cold which is nice on a hot summer day (when I tried it) but fairly simple flavors--citrus, coriander, yes, but all lightly applied. Served with orange, ask for it without if you donít want it. Not particularly better when it warms up.

Light gold, sadlyserved with a slice of orange. Please, keep the salad bar away from my glass next time. Hazy, light nose with a little spice and some orange tartness. First impression is unpleasant flatness in the carbonation. Very fruity, some orange peel for spice, also a bit oddly bready. Needs more spice and carbonation.

On tap at the brewpub. A cloudy hazy gold colored beer with a white head. Slight orange/coriander aroma. Light flavor and body with a subtle coriander taste. I would describe this best as a beginner Belgian White. Not very intense, lacks flavor. Does have a good palate. Brewer says this is 3.87% abw.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2007 Draft at the brew pub. Decent beer on those muggy Iowa afternoons in the summer, but not great. They pretty much serve this one all year round. Hazy yellow color with a lacy white head. Orange and corriander aroma and flavor accented by a yeasty bread dough note. There is a strange sour finish that detracts.

tap at Belgian Fest...Iím told that this version was slightly different than the regular verion as the spices were added either after the boil or after fermentation(canít recall which)...strikes me as a somewhat hoppy and spicy wheat beer, the spices donít seem too dominant, and it is light. Iím just not a big fan of this style, and this one didnít strike me as something that could change my mind.

A yellow beer with a musty yeastiness. Fruity and tasty, well done and classic to style.
