2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle picked up from the brewery. This is probably going to be my lowest rate for Old Chimneys, much as I love some of their other beers. This pours out very very pale rusty amber with lots of effervescent bubbles. The nose on it is barely discernible. There’s some apple skin, light peach but very little else. Taste is very very watery, as if its lacking enough apple. Dab of white vinegar, slight fresh white apple, crisp dry yeast character. It’s really far too light and needs more flavour.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at Chris O’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Hazy pale yellow color. Sweet and acidic aroma with refreshing apple scent. Much dryer flavor with grapefruit and lemon. The flavor is kind of empty after promising aroma. Acidity makes the refreshing.
