Bottle from the brewery, ordered through Eebria. Hazy, dark orange. Film of off white head. Buttered, jammy toast. Some peachiness. Hint of white grape. Taste is an initial, honey sweetness. Turns dry and lightly bitter. Palate is a little thin. Dry, vine fruit on the finish.

Bottle - bb 05/15. Pours a dark amber colour with a white head.Sweet aroma, malty, a little orange. Light body, medium to full carbonation. Pretty fresh, zingy, actually. Its caramel, some orange, cake, a bit of candy, sort of boring... It’s OK.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 15/20
Douberd (2078) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - APR 19, 2014
Bottle at home, 500 ml, into a tulip glass. ABV 5.5% Pours a deep orange coloured beer, crystal clear, with good activity in it. Head a bit taller than one finger, with average retention. Light lacing on the glass. Aroma is moderate hoppy, quite fruity, malts, grass, maybe a bit of wheat. Nice taste, begins with an intense bitterness, hops, again quite fruity but something is missing. The bitterness persists though, with long duration. Very thin body, low carbonation, watery all in all and that helps the drinkability but it’s way low. Overall okay, only the body sort of disappoints.

Bottle @ The Lets do a Chris O tasting. Pours golden with a white head. Floral nose with a sweet-ish almost digestive biscuit thing going on with the taste, maybe a touch oxidized but not bad
