Aroma: malty , sweet , creamy , slightly vinous. Tad astringent. 5+
Look: poured as amber looking ale with medium off white top.
Taste/palate: earthy, moldy with cellar feel, softer malt backing with nutty hop presence. Slight honey on sides. Just OK.

Bottle, shared with Robbie. High lustre copper amber with an average white head. Toasty malt and honey aroma and flavour. Sweet, but not overly sweet with nice subtle genuine honey flavour balanced by yummy toastiness. Not one I’d write home about, but another example of a honey ale I was surprised to actually enjoy. Not sure how this qualifies as a brown ale though.

Dark amber colour, no head to speak of. Aroma is not very pronounced, and undistinguished, bit of malt and honey. Flavour is sweetish with malt and a tangy sort of aftertaste and finish that I attributed to the honey but I am not really sure. Pleasant but unexceptional.

Pours a bubbly copper-ruby with thin, dissipating head. Aromas of honey - a very floral honey at that. Touch of cereal, butterscotch. Taste is surprisingly dry. Really aggressive carbonation. Bit of diacetyl. Also, I certainly wouldn’t call this a brown ale...

[4210-20111230] Bottle. Honey grains aroma. Clear, amber orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Sweet grainy honey flavour has a lingering sweet aftertaste. Medium body. Average. (6/3/6~/3/11) 2.9

Not bad... there’s some kind of aftertaste, with some honey and something else that if developed could prove more interesting. Just needs a little work, I think. big bottle.

Dogbrick (6065) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 20, 2012
Sample at the Strange Brew Tasting on 02/18/2012. This beer is a clear orange-gold color with a medium thick and fluffy off-white head that dissipates slowly. Sticky rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of butterscotch and malt. Light body with flavors of buttery malt, honey and some off fruit. The finish is short with a malt aftertaste. Slightly below average overall.

Bottle shared by a friend. Clear gold pour with a thick off-white head. Malty aroma with toffee notes and a bit of diacetyl. Malty and buttery flavor with a creamy finish.
