1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 djjodskins (26) - CANADA - NOV 14, 2012
Light pale yellow, quickly diminishing head, noble hop aroma, bittered sufficiently according to pilsner style. Nothing too interesting.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 bdettweiler (17) - KITCHENER, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 13, 2012
Pours from bottle a pale yellow with plenty of bubbles, but not much head and moderate lacing. Aroma is typical pilsner - malt and yeast. Very smooth with a medium body, the taste is bready yeast with slight grassy hops coming through on the finish. No lingering aftertaste. Completely average in my books. This Would be quite refreshing on a hot day if it were a little crisper. (I usually drink ale, so take this for what it’s worth)
1.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 OntBeerDrinker (300) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 13, 2012
1 Finger soapy head, pale to light,yellow/like generic energy drink look kinda away from light. Carbinated. Smell well smells to me like a lager type smell. Taste is lemon like and soapy cleaner like. Nothing good or bad about it. 3/10
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 solidfunk (1783) - Ontario, CANADA - AUG 31, 2012
Smells like a bit of - dare I say saaz? A little skunky too. Pours golden pale, no head, no lacing. Taste isn’t exactly crisp, but that’s just something I say to describe beers I don’t like anyway. In any case this isn’t even that. It’s drinkable, a little better than a lager, and cheap. Points for the latter. Bottle at Saving Gigi’s.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 gramity (1051) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 28, 2012
Partly cloudy yellow with a medium white head. A bit skunky with a light urinal cake smell and wet organic something. Taste is boring, rather flavourless, some cereals/wheat. Not crisp, not refreshing, no discernable hops. Ouch. A little notch above macros but not by much
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 WheatKing (698) - Oak Bay, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 26, 2012
Middle of the road pilsner. They need to saaz it up though. They way it is now, tastes as much like a Pale Lager as a Pilsener, to me at least.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Dogbrick (5984) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 20, 2012
Sample from can at the Strange Brew Tasting on 02/18/2012. Pours a slightly hazy yellow color with a medium thin white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of mildly spiced hops and malt. Light body with flavors of grainy malt and yeast and a hint of hops. The finish is short and malty. Below average overall.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 JaBier (3729) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - FEB 20, 2012
Bottle shared by a friend. Clear yellow pour with a medium white head. Aroma of sweet malt and lager yeast. Malty flavor with lager yeast and some crisp hop. Watery finish.
