COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular.
A superb mix of Maris Otter pale, Munich and Carapils malts along with East Kent Goldings, Styrian Goldings and Cascade hops. By combining Maris Otter, the best British ale malt, with malts normally used in the finest continental lagers gives a beer with good body, caramelised undertones and a distinct gold colour. This fine recipe gives a beer that will appeal to ale drinkers and lager drinkers alike.

Bottle; golden brown, clear, no head to speak of; woody, hoppy aroma; zesty citrus peel, biscuity malt; quite fizzy, bitter; ok, but lacks any real generosity of flavour.

Cask (gravity) - The Duke of Wellington, Norwich. Poured an amber colour with a light haze & a fine, loose, bubbly & fading off-white head. Good juicy mid fruits with sweet overtones & a subtle tang beneath on the aroma. Flavours of caramel, floral hops, yeast, apple, pale malt & biscuit. Light to medium body, medium length & soft intensity bitterness in the finish. Some zest towards the end. Drinkable but could have been cleaner & crisper for my liking.
