(330ml bottle from Lee Off Licence) Fuzzy amber/copper pour with small diminishing white head. Aroma/Taste strong sweet caramel malt and sweet citrus hops, mandarin, pine. Nice mouthfeel, medium to full in body and certainly full in "booze"!!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from the offie across the road from the rather decent Northbrook. Cloudy copper coloured pour with a white head. Caramel, grapefruit and apricot aroma. Quite flat. Citrus and sultana flavour. Sharp hop bite. Dry hoppy finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
9.0% cask new version. Rich amber colour with thick lasting head. Biscuit hop and heat on aroma. Enormously smooth for a double ipa. Cask conditioning does give it smoothness but the heat on the finish is unsubtle and boozy. Hops are big but cant hide the booze

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at Egham United Services Club Easter Beer Festival 2012. A hazy orange/amber coloured pour with a small white head on top. Sweet, hoppy, orangey aroma. This is a really rich intense beer, hoppy, malty, sweet, pine, orange marmalade. Quite heavy but really smooth and easydrinking. Clearly emulating an American DIPA and it really works too. I loved this and had way too much yesterday! Superb stuff.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at CP&K. It pours cloudy golden yellow/amber, with a thin white head. The nose is tangy orange, orange squash, kumquat, marmalade, wood and resin. The taste is resin, wood, tangy orange, marmalade, kumquat, hay, and alcohol warmth, with a tangy-bitter finish. Medium-full body, soft carbonation and syrupy mouth-feel. Good balance and flavoursome. Would have been better carbonated, as from cask it was a touch too syrupy to drink more than one.

UPDATED: MAR 11, 2012 (Bottled). Nice to have a Double IPA to rep’ in the neighbourhood. ITs pretty Americanized , bold and inyaface . sticky rich hops , zesty woodiness, musty. Subtle fruit hop zest , grapefruit ,orange zest and sweetness , textures =shitloads of raw boozyey peppery alcohol.
re8Hot and raw erratic boozy notes , though a charming orange sweetness ,woody pencil shaving like dryness is eat up with rich booze...would like to sample this from cask to explore and try it with less erratic alcohol
