COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular; Bottle conditioned.
Red Top is a traditional English Ale but with a more relaxed taste. It is brewed using our unique combination of Maris Otter, Crystal and Brown Malt, with Challenger, East Kent Golding and Cascade hops. The result in a rich tan coloured beer, that is balanced on the palate, with a hint of citrus aroma. It shows all the characteristics of best English bitter

Gravity dispense at the 23rd Battersea Beer Festival - 06/02/13. Lightly hazed reddish amber with a thin white head that clears edgeward. Nose carries caramel malts, burnt toffee, sugars. Taste comprises caramel malt, toffee, brown sugars, slightly burnt tones. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Pretty average.

Battersea beer festival 06/02/2013. Caramel malt nose a bit stale. Nutty. Bland nutty caramel malt. Some earthy hops. Hazy nut brown no head. Soft combination. A bit slick.

Cask in the Prince Bonaparte W2. Deep reddish brown colour, bright and clear. Very malty bitter, toast. Ever so slightly like a Black Sheep but nowhere near as dry. Also just the faintest hint of a modern amber ale style hop flavour, but it is only a hint. But overall a highly drinkable low abv malty bitter.

Great reddish coulor with a sweet maly taste. Leaves a great mouthfeel to the very end. Would choose this over any other Old Dairy ale.
