Red Top is a traditional English Ale but with a more relaxed taste. It is brewed using our unique combination of Maris Otter, Crystal and Brown Malt, with Challenger, East Kent Golding and Cascade hops. The result in a rich tan coloured beer, that is balanced on the palate, with a hint of citrus aroma. It shows all the characteristics of best English bitter

(Cask at Old Fountain, Old Street, London, 10 Apr 2014) Reddish amber colour with brief, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, red fruit and a touch of toast. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, red fruit, some toast and a gentle bitterness in the finish. Rather light body, with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced and tasty, but hardly adventurous. Quite nice.

50 cl bottle.
Pours clear dark copper color with a large head. Aroma is nutty and a bit malty, some subtle hoppy notes appear as well as some dry fruity notes, distant berries also. Flavor is a bit watery and thin, some malts, fruits and faint hops, hay and caramel follow. Medium carbonation, dry nutty palate. Clean but a bit boring and not really my cup of tea.
